German Shepherd Spent A Life On Chains Got a New Purpose In Life [Video]

Meet Herschel, a six-year-old German Shepherd that had been chained up for his entire life but has recently gotten a new chance in life.

The dog’s original owner very rarely fed him and almost never showed the dog the love he deserves. Herschel was left chained to a short chain that kept him from even moving around the back garden he was trapped in throughout the year.

The owner has given up Herschel eventually and he was rehomed. Unfortunately, his new situation was not much different this time, and the dog was still living in cruel conditions.

Then in 2018, Herschel was rehomed again, this time he moved to the Michelson Found Animals rescue center in L.A.

Then, things started to turn around for the poor dog. Herschel was then featured in 2018 on the show Dog’s Day Out, after which he became incredibly popular.

Millions of people watched the show and many of them immediately fell in love with the dog and sent requests to the shelter to adopt the dog.

Herschel was eventually adopted by an L.A. family who promised to give the dog the life he deserves and the love he is worthy of.
