A blind 9-year-old Border Collie named Stevie Wonderful won Pedigree Foundation Rescue’s Dog of the year.
So why did he win it? Stevie Wonderful has been a canine greeter at Cleveland Clinic for two years.
He won Dog of The Year because of his hard work, resiliency, and ability to do his job even when he has special needs.
Along with a group of 42 other dogs, he brings happiness to patients, family members, and staff when he greets them in the clinic’s lobby.
Stevie can usually be found in the clinic’s main lobby Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
But, his story before being a canine greeter is rather very sad; it wasn’t a happy one.
