An animal shelter called Niagara SPCA teamed up with Just Pizza & Wing Co. franchise in Amherst as a way to help get dogs adopted.
Their idea was unique and magnificent. They decided to put flyers that had pictures of the dogs who needed a forever home on pizza boxes.
This amazing campaign was a success. It went viral and the pizza place was praised for helping the shelter out. Customers enjoyed seeing the dogs on the pizza boxes as well as the campaign caught the attention of many potential owners.
Just Pizza & Wing Co. also offered customers who adopt any of the dogs a $50 gift certificate.
This heartwarming idea wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the owner of Just Pizza & Wing Co. franchise, Mary Alloy, who was a volunteer at Niagara SPCA; both the shelter and pizza place collaborated with each other.
The event coordinator Kimberly LaRussa suggested the idea to Mary who was excited to execute this brilliant idea.
On the first day of the campaign, a puppy was adopted by a caring family. Hopefully, there will be many other dogs who will be adopted.
