Nepal has more thana 30,000 stray dogs living on its streets, with most of them living in pretty bad conditions. There are a number of charitable organizations that try to help with the stray dogs’ problem in humane ways, but it still remains a big problem to this day.
Unfortunately, the stray dogs problem is also made worse with the public perception of stray dogs as dangerous, which often stumps many of the help efforts. Fortunately, this story is one that proves that this public perception is wrong.
Two dogs were spotted standing guard on the bank of the river. After taking a closer look, the dogs were found to be standing guard over an elderly woman by the riverside at the edge of the wait. The other dog was staying a little further back, much similar to what you see with soldiers standing guard when they shift position every couple of hours.
The story and images were shared online by Ake Srisuwan on Facebook, and it shows how truly amazing dogs are.
