Alan Whitton, a 49-years old life therapy coach, was taking a regular walk around Knighton Wood in Buckhurst hill last Wednesday when his Jack Russell got chased by a Basset Hound.
The dog didn’t come back.
Mr.Whitton spent the rest of the day searching every inch of the area for his Jack Russel with no success.
On the next day, Mr.Whotton returned to the area to continue his search, again with no success. He then returned for the third day on a row on Friday, and it seemed like this day was going to be like the last two.
However, he soon received a phone call from a dog walker that has spotted the dog earlier sniffing around a foxhole. Mr. Whitton dropped everything and went to look at it himself.
When he arrived, he was able to detect the faintest of sounds coming from the fox hole, and that was all he needed to get to work.
With some help from passersby, he was able to dig into the fox hole and get the pup out and be finally reunited with the lost pup.
