Step-by-Step Guide on How to Remove Dog Hair from Clothes in a Washing Machine
We gonna split this process into three stages (before – during – after) to get rid of all the hair stuck in your clothes in one setting, for a maximum optimum result.
Before washing
Start by trying to remove as much pet hair as you can by hand.
A sticky clothes lint roller might work best for you to get the job done. If you don’t have one (or can’t find it), Use some sturdy packing tape wrapped around your hand with the sticky side out.
Tip.
Reduce static cling on clothes by using an anti-static spray on clothes to help loosen hair and make it easier to remove with the lint roller.
You also can use a Rubber Glove, I’m sure you have one in your kitchen!!
Just put it on and get it slightly damp, and then run your hand across the fabric. The hair and lint will definitely stick to the damp rubber.
A Dry Sponge will also do the trick. Just Take a kitchen sponge that you don’t plan on using for washing dishes anymore. Rub the abrasive scrubbing side against the clothing to wipe off the dog hair.
Once you have successfully removed as much hair as you can, give the clothing or bedding a good shake.
Time for the Dryer
Put the cloths in the clothes dryer, set it to a 10-minute low heat dryer cycle or no heat.
Throw in one or two dryer sheets with the clothes as the anti-static properties of the dryer sheets will help repel the hair and catch it in your dryer’s lint trap.
Don’t forget, the lint trap should be cleaned after every load.

Take your clothes out of the dryer and give them one last shake followed by another round of brushing with a lint roller before you put them in the washing machine.
Tip.
In case you have woolen clothes that are covered with fur,
Before using the clothes brush, it’s better to use a clothes steamer or hang them in a steamy bathroom.
The dampness will help the fibers relax and release the pet hair making it easier to brush away.
Washing Time
Simply, toss the clothes in the washing machine.
It’s advisable to add a half-cup of white vinegar to the machine’s rinse cycle. Vinegar is nature’s fabric softener that helps relax fabrics and loosen the pet hair.
You can add one or two dryer sheets or several wool dryer balls, but what has worked for me personally is The STICKYCLEAN,
Toss one of those bad boys over here with your clothes and see the magic!
The STICKYCLEAN is a lifesaver for me. It can Instantly remove the loose hair, some dirt, and debris that you didn’t even notice. I have been using the STICKYCLEAN for months now and it has never failed me, every time I do my laundry there is a new sensation of satisfaction
Cleaning Up
After you get your clothes out of the washing machine, Run an empty wash cycle.
This will help to rinse out any extra hair that’s still inside the machine.
Just set the washing machine on a regular wash cycle without anything inside and let it run
Tip.
Wipe the drums of the washing machine and dryer if there’s still hair.
Or else, the next time you are doing the laundry, the dog hair will just get tossed in with the clothes.
Use a damp cloth or paper towel to pick up any strands that were left behind in the drums of either machine.
That’s it, That was How to remove dog hair from clothes in a washing machine the right way
I hope this would help you in your war against your pet’s hair
