In fact, I am not against that dogs should try some of human’s food, and actually, some foods are good for both of us. However, this ‘foods not to feed dogs ever list’ is made for a very good reason. Some of these foods can cost you your dog’s life!

Grapes and Raisins

There are many types of grapes, including green, red, and yellow. All of them offers a wealth of health benefits due to their antioxidant and nutrient content.

Besides that grapes are very delicious and can cool you down in hot weather, Grapes, also, contain several compounds that beneficial to the eye, and may also help lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

However, onions are very toxic to dogs. Its compounds can destroy your dog’s red blood cells, and make their ability to carry oxygen to the body, impossible; that can lead to certain death.

1- Don’t share food

Tell your family members, every single one of them, not to share food with the do ever. Dogs should be trained that no foods are allowed away from its bowl, sh/she is only allowed to eat food from its bowl; not from the couch, table, or desk.

2- Train your dog to sit/ stay away

Train your dog to sit away while you are eating, and stay there till you tell him/her to come. I know it sounds hard, but here are some tips and tricks to help you.

3- Avoid looking at him/her

Don’t expect that your dog will see you eating and will look away, or he/she will stop staring. Therefore, avoid looking at him/her eyes, even if he started to be creepy, just avoid looking at his/her eyes.

4- Keep your dog busy

Give your dog a toy to play with, and keep him/her busy while you are eating. For this, I do recommend a toy that keeps his/her mouth busy and also cleans his/her teeth.

If your dog found you enjoying your meal, he/she will want to enjoy a meal, too. So, you should make sure that he has something to eat in his/her bowl.

6- Reward your dog for good behavior

Rewarding your dog for good behavior is something you have to do, every time your dog does something you want him/her to do. Because, this is the way of communication your dog understands; if he did something right and got rewarded food, he/she will understand that this is what you want him/her to learn, and he/she will repeat it.
