A dog was found looking like a ‘walking skeleton’ after being dumped on a country lane. The dog’s condition was so bad that they couldn’t figure out the pup’s breed.
It’s amazing the dog could even walk. Not only was he severely underweight and weak, but the dog also had several fractures in his legs, making walking quite painful for him.
Marting Yates discovered the dog on the 25th of February and rushed him to the vets, and the pup’s condition made the vets worry that he may not be able to make it.
The RSPCA has launched an investigation as it is the second time an emaciated dog has been dumped at the spot in Albrighton, near Wolverhampton, within a month.
When the pup was weighed, he was found to only be about 41 pounds, which is half of what such a big pup should weigh at his age.
An x-ray also revealed Big Mac had a fracture in three places on his right leg and his hip was also displaced.
He was in a horrendous state with all his bones protruding and he was so cold the vet couldn’t even get a blood sample from him at first.
There was a real fear that he might not survive.

They gave the dog painkillers and asked the couple to feed him small meals to help him build enough strength so he could go through with the two operations he needs.
By then, the couple had already named the dog “Big Mac” and had decided to give him a forever home.
