Mia van der Kop and Peter Figasinski were walking along with their Golden Lab dog, Houston, on the trails above the river of the West Vancouver’s Cypress Falls.
Suddenly, Houston lost his balance and slipped down a sloped embankment.
The one-year-old dog tried to climb up the rocks but because the rocks were so slippery, he lost control of his feet and accidentally fell into the river.
As Houston fell into the river, he was pulled by the downstream and was pushed by waves. Even though the river pull and waves were carrying him, he managed to swim to a bank and climbed into a ledge.
“When Peter told me he saw it, I panicked and screamed. I thought we’d never see him again.”, Mia said
Mia and Peter were panicking and thought they would never see their beloved dog again but they had to take action.
So what did Peter and Mia do to save their dog?
