Breaking News: A magnitude 7.7 earthquake was just recorded about 80 miles from Jamaica, shaking people in the Carribean and its effects have stretched as far as Miami.
There was also a recorded 0.4 feet Tsunami in the Cayman islands at George Town, but no other Tsunamis were detected at Port Royal, Puerto Plata, or the Dominican Republic.
According to CNN, the Tsunami warning was issued just after the earthquake and was lifted a few hours later.
Residents in the Cayman islands say it was one of the biggest earthquakes they ever recorded.
People in Miami, 440 miles away, felt the shaking!
The quake hit 77.6 miles north-northwest of Lucea in Jamaica and was felt in Miami and Havana as well. So far, there are no reports of casualties
