Hondo, a K9’s on duty in Herriman, was shot while doing his job on February 13 and died after suffering from the gunshot wound.
The police department didn’t want to leave their friend leave that word without a proper goodbye, so they called Rawtin Garage، a paint shop that is specialized in motorcycles and classic cars, to design a special casket for the hero.
According to CNN, the special casket was ready to go only 24 hours later. It was all hand-painted and airbrushed, carrying a very beautiful portrait of Hondo while wearing his police harness.
Hondo, the 7-year-old hero dog leaving our world after he helped with over 100 felony arrests and took hundreds of pounds of narcotics off the streets.
“PSD Hondo was a true warrior,” said Carr while addressing reports at a press conference.

According to Herriman City Police Department, K9 Hondo memorial service will be held on Saturday، February 29th.
