A fire broke out on Wilmington Saturday morning, fortunately, the family made it out safely, but the main story is about rescuing the family’s poor dog.
A new challenge the firefighters had to face that day, because “the smoke and the flames were coming out pretty much the whole back end of the house,” Wilmington Fire Department Captain Colin Simpson said to WWAY.

It was not an easy mission, however, these heroes were capable of getting the entire family from the house, thinking that their mission was over, until Simpson shouted: “We found a dog,”.
At this moment, the firefighters knew that their mission has not finished, yet. And that poor guy needs their attention, according to his condition at this moment.
Two firefighters took care of the dog because he needed life-saving oxygen, and the other firefighters went back looking for the other four cats, that were not as lucky as the dog.
Unfortunately, two of them died, and the other two went missing.
