So, what kind of Christmas treats can you make for your beloved dog? There are so many recipes that you can choose from, but today I am only going to share with you ten Christmas dog treats recipes. They are the following:

Elves are always leaving yummy teats in everyone’s Christmas stockings, but your beloved pooch can not get any of them because our treats are often bad for them. So, why not share the Christmas spirit, and make them some delicious Peanut Butter Pumpkin treats.
Ingredients you are going to need:
- Two and a half (2.5) cups of whole wheat flour
- Two (2) eggs
- Two (2) tablespoons of natural peanut butter. I have bolded the word “natural” because Sugar-Free Peanut Butter because it usually has Xylitol in it. Xylitol is an artificial sweetener that is considered to be toxic to dogs.
- Half (1/2) a teaspoon of Cinnamon ( Cinnamon is considered to be safe for dogs to consume when given to them in moderation.)
- Half (1/2) a cup of canned natural pumpkin
- Half (1/2) a teaspoon of salt
The instructions:
- Start by preheating the oven at three hundred and fifty Fahrenheit degrees 350° F.
- Now, put parchment paper on the baking tray.
- Mix all of the ingredients together and add water if that is needed.
- Next, you are going to roll out the dough and begin cutting the cookies using a cookie cutter.
- Then, place the cookies on the baking tray and put it in the oven for thirty minutes. Make sure that the cookies harden.
Recipe number two: The Gingerbread Cookies for Dogs
Gingerbread cookies are a popular Christmas treats, so let us make some for our dogs as well!
Ingredients you are going to need:
- Four (4) tablespoons of raw honey
- Six (6) of all-purpose flour
- Two (2) tablespoons of freshly shaved ginger
- One (1) cup of water
- Two (2) teaspoons of baking soda
- One (1) teaspoon of ground cloves
- One (q) teaspoons of cinnamon
- Half (1/2) a cup of vegetable oil
- One cup of Molasses. Now, molasses are not healthy for dogs, but I think it is okay if they are only going to have these cookies during Christmas. However, I highly encourage you to do your own research on it before making your pooch these cookies.
The Instructions
- Start by preheating the oven at three hundred and fifty Fahrenheit degrees 350° F.
- Now, put parchment paper on the baking tray.
- Next, start mixing the honey, water, molasses, and oil in one bowl.
- Then, mix the flour, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and baking soda in another bowl.
- Then, combine and mix the dry and wet ingredients together to form the dough.
- Split the dough into four separate pieces (quarters), roll them into balls, and wrap them individually.
- Next, you are going to refrigerate these balls of dough for five hours.
- After the five hours are up, take out the doughs, roll them out, and cute them.
- Finally, place the cookies on the tray and bake them for twenty-five (25) minutes.
Recipe number three: The Sweet Potato Pie Treats for Dogs
Our sweet potato pies are not the best food to give to our pooches, so let us make a safer version of it for them
Ingredients you are going to need:
- One and three quarters (1 & 3/4) cups of brown rice flour
- One (1) beaten egg
- One (1) cup of mashed sweet potato ( natural is preferred)

- Start by preheating the oven at three hundred and fifty Fahrenheit degrees 350° F.
- Now, put parchment paper on the baking tray.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix it all together.
- Next, you are going to roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter.
- Then, you are going to bake them until they turn brown.
Recipe number four: The Christmas Detox Cookies for Dogs
I am not a massive fan of the term detox being attached to treats or even smoothies, but unfortunately, this is the name of this recipe.
Ingredients you are going to need:
- One (1) cup of coconut flour
- One third (1/3) of a cup of warm water
- Half (1/2) a cup of mashed bananas (Bananas are considered to be safe for dogs; however, dogs should consume them in moderation because they are high in sugar.)
- Half (1/2) a cup of natural peanut butter
- Half (1/2) a cup of mashed blueberries ( whole blueberries are considered to be a choking hazard for dogs)
- Four (4) eggs

- Now, put parchment paper on the baking tray.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix it all together.
- Add water if it is needed

Recipe number five: Thy Simple Christmas Cookies for Dogs

- Two (2) cups of whole wheat flour
- One (1) tablespoon of baking powder
- One (1) cup of plain, non-fat Greek yogurt
- One (1) cup of natural peanut butter
- Water.

Ingredients you are going to need:
- One and one quarters (1 & 1/4) cups of Rice Flour.
- One (1) tablespoon of organic honey
- Two (2) tablespoons of Vegetable Oil

- Then, you are going to roll the dough on a surface that is floured until it has a 1/4 inch thickness.
- Grab your snowflake-shaped cookie cutter and start cutting!
- Put the cookies on the tray and bake them for fifteen (15) minutes or until they turn golden.
- Finally, let them cool for a bit after you take them out of the oven.
Recipe number eight: The Peanut Butter & Ginger Snaps for Dogs
Ingredients you are going to need:
- Half (1/2) a cup of coconut flour
- Two cups of almond flour
- Half (1/2) a cup of natural peanut butter
- One-fourth (1/4) a cup of water
- Three (3) tablespoons of ground ginger
- 1 (1) tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Start by preheating the oven at one hundred and sixty-five (165° F )Fahrenheit degrees.
- Now, put parchment paper on the baking tray.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix it all together.
- Make a ball out of the dough
- Next, you are going to roll out the dough and use a mini cookie cutter.
- Now, place the snaps on the baking tray.
- Then, you are going to bake them for twenty-five (25) minutes.
- After the twenty-five minutes are up, turn off the oven but leave the treats inside for forty-five minutes or until the snaps become crisp.
- This recipe is going to make you about twenty to thirty snaps. It all depends on the size of the cookie-cutter that you are using.
- Store these snaps in a glass jar.
Recipe number nine: The Healthy Mashed Potato Pet Treats
Yup, you can make your dog a delicious and healthy mashed potato treats!
Ingredients you are going to need:
- One (1) shredded carrot
- One (1) egg yolk
- One (1) cup of plain, mashed potato
Instructions
- Start by preheating the oven at four hundred (400° F )Fahrenheit degrees.
- Now, put parchment paper on the baking tray.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix it all together.
- Next, roll the dough into twenty-four (24) balls.

- Two (2) eggs
- Two and a half ( 2 & 1/2) cups of all-purpose flour
- Twenty-five (25) oz of all-natural baby carrot food

- Start by preheating the oven at three hundred and fifty (350° F )Fahrenheit degrees.

Is it safe for my dog to eat shrimp?
